FOR STAR ELDER CRITICS

Readers of my earlier site will recall that I continually challenged the claims made and the so-called evidence provided by UFO investigators as proof of the existence of UFOs and/or Extraterrestrials.

Some members of the UFO community were quick to accuse me of hypocrisy because I have offered my grandfather’s ‘Star Elder’ story which does, in fact, tell about the discovery of a field of debris and the rescue of a ‘small being’.  How can I criticize the UFO community yet at the same time offer a story about a UFO?  Is this not a contradiction that graces me with the mantle of the hypocrite?

Actually, the answer is no.

As I have explained many, many times, the ‘Star Elder’ story is based on a story told to me by my grandfather and some of his closest friends.  I never personally had any problem with the story, I accepted it without question since it fit in exactly with the other legends of sky beings that were part of the cosmology of the Native Americans of the Southwest.

However, it was when I entered college that I began to wonder whether or not the ‘Star Elder’ story was true.  Please note what I have stated - not only on this website - but in the dozens and dozens of lectures and workshops for the many years I was on the lecture circuit.  Quote:

“In truth, there was even a time when even I questioned my grandfather’s story.  When I entered college, I wondered, as many college students do, if my upbringing and the values that I had grown up with were maybe not right.  Perhaps I really was just a ‘primitive’ who did not know the ways and truths of the world.  Maybe, just maybe, the ways of Native peoples - and my grandfather’s story - were wrong.  I honestly wondered if my grandfather’s story was just that: a story.”

I was fully aware then, as I am now, that the story of a being from another world who somehow fell to the earth must be seriously questioned.  There was no way that I could provide proof that such an event had ever happened.

To be quite honest, I was very disturbed.  I had to admit that it was quite possible that I had grown up with nothing more than a truly  fantastic tale that had been told around a campfire just for entertainment.  Could the ‘Star Elder’ story have just been made up?

Certainly.

But then I recalled the story of the legend of Troy, an ancient city that was just a myth - until a historian named Schlieman followed the clues in the story and actually found the ruins of the city.

It then occurred to me that I could prove or disprove the ‘Star Elder’ story by studying ancient history and seeing if there really was a ‘hidden history’ of our world.

And so began my life-long quest for a ‘hidden history’ that could confirm the story that my grandfather had told me.
